Drum driers

Drum driers are contact driers with adhesive layer of a drying material. This type driers use a cylinder heated up by a steam from inside, while a wet raw material is applied on external area of the cylinder. Raw material is applied as a thin uniform-thickness layer on a rotary roller, where, during a non-complete turn it is dried and cut by means of a special knife. This drying system is extensively applied for liquids, gels and pasta-like substances. Such driers are applied to manufacture potato flakes, starch modifiers, yeast, fruit & vegetable drought, food for fish and for children. One can have a product in form of a film, flakes or a powder. Main condition to use a drum drier is ability of a product to adhere to a hot area of a roller. The method in question is limited in case of foaming and melting products. Compared to pneumatic driers, the roller ones prove their better energy efficiency.
We have been manufacturing such driers since 30 years and at this time we have manufactured more than 200 pcs., including the world largest potato-flakes drier characterized by drum dimensions 2200x7200mm – in 2004. Recipients of our devices originate mainly from the European Union, but our installations operate also in China, Iran, Bangladesh, Russia and many other countries.
